H1N1 outbreak nowadays around 2009 and isolated from patients of United States. The genetic were found to be made up of elements from four different flu viruses; North American Mexican influenza, North American avian influenza, human influenza, and swine influenza virus. This new strain appear to be a result of generation of re-assortment human influenza and swine influenza viruses. The Preliminary genetic found that the hemaggutinin gene charaterization was similar to swine flu viruses present in US pigs, but the neuraminidase and matrix protein genes were found resembled in European swine flu. The 6 genes from the American flu are the mixture of swine flu, bird flu, human flu viruses.
The US President Barrack Obama and other federal officials said this morning that the disease because the flu virus H1N1 is here what this means. All influenza virus - human, bird, pig - have an H and N in a name, each followed by a number (the strain of avian influenza that has people worried is H5N1, for example). The letters refer to two proteins (hemagglutinin and neuraminidase) on the surface of the virus. The figures refer slight variations in the form of each protein. The changes are important because our oilstone of those proteins in the immune system attacking the virus.
Because eviction, the human strains of influenza H1N1 is also considerable common ground. In fact, the vaccine used for the flu season is just finishing protected against one strain of the human H1N1 virus. But unfortunately, because of differences between human beings and the versions of swine influenza, the vaccine appears not to protect human against the swine H1N1.
